deadlines

These are the approximate deadlines for submissions of articles and announcements for the quarterly newsletter.

Winter: December 1
Spring: March 1
Summer: June 1
Fall: September 1

We reserve the right to reject any advertising that is not consistent with the stated goals of NAM, or that is in any way deemed inappropriate. The newsletter is generally published 4-6 weeks after the submission deadline.

article Submissions

Articles are solicited from NAM members on topics that are of interest to the NAM community. We welcome articles on a variety of topics such as mathematical research, education, upcoming or past events, and accomplishments. Articles may be submitted here. PNG and TeX files are preferred.

Online advertisements are posted separately from Newsletter Advertisements. Those wishing to advertise in both media should complete the appropriate forms.

ad policy for non-institutional members

Receipt of your announcement will be acknowledged. You will be billed by the NAM Treasurer. To estimate the page size, use 12 point font on a standard size page. As a rule of thumb, 500 words is a full page of only text.

Online advertising (90 days with immediate posting):

Less than 100 words is $600
100 - 500 words is $800
Media files (i.e. image files or pdf files) are a flat fee of $600 and will be sized at the editor's discretion.

One Newsletter issue advertising:

One-fourth page is $300
One-third page is $400
One-half page is $500
Two-thirds page is $600
Three-fourths page is $700
One whole page is $900
Advertisements over one page are pro-rated according to the above pricing.

Consecutive, multiple Newsletter issue advertising:

Each consecutive issue thereafter 75% of the first issue charge.

ad policy for institutional members

Receipt of your announcement will be acknowledged. You will be billed after the advertisement appears. Institutional Members of NAM are entitled to a one time reduction of $100 on advertisements during the fiscal year of their membership. Additional advertisements follow the above stated cost structure. To estimate the page size, use 12 point font in your favorite word processing program on a standard size page.
