AwardsThe Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a Mathematician-Mathematics Educator who has provided at least twenty-five years of exemplary service to the mathematical sciences community and who has affirmed by others as having been the kind of professional and role model whose professional life has made a difference a professional life worth emulating. The Stephens-Shabazz Teaching Award is awarded annually to a mathematics educator who has significantly contributed to the development of mathematical talent in underrepresented undergraduate students and encouraged underrepresented undergraduate students to pursue mathematical careers and/or the study of mathematics at the graduate level, with preference given to faculty from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Haynes-Granville-Brown SessionThe Haynes-Granville-Browne New PhD Session highlights speakers who have received their doctoral degrees in the mathematical sciences within the five years prior to the Haynes-Granville-Browne New PhD Session.
