National Association
of Mathematicians
The National Association of Mathematicians, Inc., known as NAM, was founded in 1969. NAM, a nonprofit professional organization, has always had as its main objectives, the promotion of excellence in the mathematical sciences and the promotion and mathematical development of under-represented minority mathematicians and mathematics students. It also aims to address the issue of the serious shortage of minorities in the workforce of mathematical scientists.

NAM
produces a quarterly Newsletter that serves as the conduit of information. For past editions of the Newsletter, advertisement information, and information on submitting articles, see:  http://nam-newsletter.org

Although the majority of NAM members consist of members of underrepresented groups of minorities, a significant number of members represent a cross-section of the mathematical sciences community. Membership is open to all. For a membership form, click here
